Traveling to Venice inspired me. In the early morning hours, as I traveled from the evocative island of Torcello to the city by water bus, I began an artistic dialogue with this compelling urban landscape which would grow into a new series of paintings. Many of these pieces incorporate line work, washes and the use of palette knife.
