The Cathedral of Light

Aspirations of growth towards the heavens, majestic strength and wisdom imbued through weathered storms and the passage of time. All the while, ever-present distorted reflections linger, flirting with darkness, the inevitable and inescapable judgement. Countless failed attempts to reach the divine leave scraggy remnants hanging as abstracted reminders, each becoming parts of the whole-gently paying homage to that same divine. Emphasising the use of the palette knife, light takes on dual meanings-physical and spiritual encouraging not simply the action of self reflection, but its life long process. The “human-ness” in “tree-ness.”
